Use Music to Influence Taste Experience
There is nothing new in pairing music with food, however many brands are beginning to use music strategically to influence the way the tastes and textures of a meal are perceived.
The below study (conducted at Cornell University’s Food and Brand lab in NYC) found that customers rated the food as better tasting, and their overall dinner experience more pleasurable when soft jazz instrumental music was piped into the restaurant.
