For our throwback we are paying homage to Gorillaz Demon Days. The virtual band that created a genre of their own which brought musicians together across genres.

Created in 1998 by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, Gorillaz is a British virtual band consisting of four animated members: 2D, Murdoc Niccals, Noodle and Russel Hobbs. All completely fictional, they are not personas of any actual musicians involved in the project.

Demon Days is the second studio album by Gorillaz, released in May 2005. Nominated for the Brit Award for MasterCard British Album of the Year in 2006, the album features De La Soul, Neneh Cherry, Martina Topley-Bird, Roots Manuva, MF DOOM, Ike Turner, Bootie Brown of the Pharcyde, Shaun Ryder, Dennis Hopper, the London Community Gospel Choir, the Children's Choir of San Fernandez, and Danger Mouse as producer.

Demon Days entered the UK charts at #1 and the U.S. charts at #6,outperforming the band's 2001 debut, Gorillaz. The album has sold eight million copies worldwide. NME placed it 98th on their list of 100 greatest albums of the decade. Uncut ranked it at 75 on their list of top 150 albums of the decade. Complex included it on their list of 100 Best Albums of the Complex Decade, placing it at number 43.Spin later included it in their list of The 300 Best Albums of 1985–2014.

Two well-known singles released from Demon Days include "Feel Good Inc.", released 9th May 2005 and "DARE", released 29th August 2005.
